TRANSFORMATION OF RELIGIOUS IDENTITY IN THE CONTEXT OF GLOBALIZATION: CAUSES AND CONSEQUENCES

Based on empirical material and sociological research, the article analyzes process of search, formation religious identity by modern human in context globalization. The ambiguity is due to a complex combination different factors. Thus, gives rise variety approaches vision, understanding explanation identity. They are formed constant correlation non-religious religiosity. In study globalization, author draws attention not only unifying tendencies but also its consequence – glocalization, which manifests itself sphere through differentiation, fragmentation, localization, cultural unification, primitivization tastes, consumption. It stated, firstly, that experiences transformations correspond changes horizon. under influence number phenomena, among we can point fundamentalism, indifferentism (polarization religion); extra-church searches for identity, as re-individualism, eclecticism “patchwork” ideas, syncretism perception religion, pluralization space, etc. Secondly, assumption traditional implemented contemporary environment neither at personal nor community level increasingly confirmed.
